Annie Added to Journal

As you saw in my last post I have started a Journal. Something I will use to record whatever strikes my fancy each season. Of Course Annie will always strike my fancy at anytime. :))

The other night I was sitting on the bed watching TV and Annie was laying next to me after a hard day of helping rake the yard..make that.. drop the ball in leaf piles :)... and was sleeping. She looked so cute that I felt compelled to draw her so I grabbed my sketch book and started drawing her with pencil. As usual with live models she moved a few times before getting this drawn out so I had to ad lib it a bit.

Then yesterday I decided to add some color to it with watercolor and ink.

She might just be showing up here a lot.

Cris....I love your journal! Yesterday's cover drawing and today's Annie are fantastic! This is a great idea - perfect for your art!

Ah, Annie.....she is so sweet! (And looks so *exhausted* after all that work *helping* Con with the leaves!!!!

Our weather has turned much colder...it rained all day yesterday - and more on the way! Here comes Winter!!

Love to all 4,

Annie is a great model. I love seeing her whether in your pictures or drawn in your journal. I know what it is like tyring to draw a dog. Luna never lays still long enough for me to get her drawn. I usually only get a paw, ear, whiskers etc drawn they she will move to another room. She hates for me to stare at her. Have a great weekend.

Oh Cris, this is fabulous!! There is so much personality (of Annie's) in this. Keep going. We will never tire of seeing Annie...or your journal pages.

You are going to have a full book in no time, girly! I have slipped away from sketching but I need to get back. So much to do, so little time. This is a great sketch of Annie. Looks just like her.
